A jumping jet fountain, also known as a laminar jumping jet, jumping jet, or something similar, is a type of ornamental water feature where water is pushed through a precise nozzle to create a smooth, glass-like stream of water that then parabolically arches through the air before returning to the pool or basin. Some versions have a cutting mechanism that allows the continuous stream to be divided into segments, creating a “jumping” or “bursting” effect. These segments are frequently timed with music, lights, or other effects.
